Those of you that have access to the BBC will get an opportunity to see a new remake of H.G. Wells’ seminal sci-fi classic War of the Worlds.
Most Americans will recall the 2005 remake featuring Tom Cruise, but this version from the BBC looks much varied. Most remarkable, the fierce and towering tripods that lay trash to the UK!
Set in Edwardian England, in the southern English area of Surrey, the three-section arrangement stars Rafe Spall (“Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom”), Eleanor Tomlinson (“Poldark”), Rupert Graves (“Sherlock”) and Robert Carlyle (“The Full Monty”) as earthlings got up to speed in the frenzy after a meteor bearing killing disapproved of outsiders arrives in the typically tranquil British field.
