Lashana Lynch, the highly anticipated actress of the first black woman, James Bond, celebrated the breaking of her land at a stellar Hollywood awards ceremony, “proudly being able to fly our huge Jamaican flag as a courtesy 00 agent MI6.”
The British actress, who starred as the pilot and proud single mother Maria Rambo in “Captain Marvel,” is shaking off her Bond legacy as 00 agent nominee in “No Time to Die” in April. The film was Daniel Craig’s last 007.
Although Bond has previously had strong roles, including stars such as Grace Jones and Halle Berry, Lynch is the first black female agent of the 60-year-old franchise, who already has an elite 00 status, and enjoys 007 status when Bond leaves the British intelligence service MI6.
