The former first lady became a first-time Grammy winner for “BECOMING”

Previous first woman Michelle Obama won a Grammy grant for the book recording of her diary “Becoming” on Sunday at the 62nd yearly Grammy Awards. 

Obama won the honor for the Best Spoken Word Album. She was among the early champs reported. 

Obama beat out individual candidates the Beastie Boys for their “Beastie Boys Book;” Eric Alexandrakis for “I.V. Mental shock: 20 Years As A Two-Time Cancer Survivor;” John Waters for “Mr. Smarty pants;” and Sekou Andrews for “Sekou Andrews and The String Theory.” 

She joins the positions of her significant other, previous president Barack Obama who won twice, in 2008 for “The Audacity of Hope” and again in 2006 for “Dreams From My Father.” 

Obama isn’t the main first woman to have won enormous on music’s greatest night. Previous first woman Hillary Clinton won in 1997 for “It Takes a Village.” 

The most dominating political figure in the classification is the previous president Jimmy Carter, who has won multiple times: in 2007 for “Our Endangered Values,” in 2016 for “A Full Life: Reflections at 90” and a year ago for “Confidence: A Journey for All.” 

Obama’s diary follows her life experiencing childhood with the South Side of Chicago during her time as the first woman of the United States.

Michelle Obama has sponsored Swedish high schooler atmosphere emergency lobbyist Greta Thunberg and asked her to ‘disregard the skeptics’ after she was derided by US President Donald Trump. 

“Try not to let anybody diminish your light,” the previous first woman tweeted to 16-year-old Thunberg. 

“Like the young ladies I’ve met in Vietnam and everywhere throughout the world, you have such a great amount to offer all of us,” she said. 

Without referencing president Trump, Michelle included, “Disregard the cynics and realize that a great many individuals are giving a shout out to you.” 

Thunberg, who has motivated nonconformists worldwide to push for activity in fighting the atmosphere emergency, was named Time magazine’s Person of the Year this week. 

Trump on Thursday tweeted that it was “so absurd” for Thunberg to be perceived as Person of the Year.
