Google One membership will now itself save media comprising photos, videos, contacts, and texts from an Android device. So if you break, lose or switch phones, all your information will be safely backed up. Kudos Google!
In its authorized blog, Google notes that voluntary phone backup will also enable users to back up recent quality photos, tapes, and multimedia messages. Automatic phone backup will also let you save original quality videos, photos, and multimedia messages. Users can also govern backups rapidly from the Google One app. When arranging a new Android phone, all of the data will be easily restored. Google announced on September 13th that Google One membership will now itself conserve media containing photos, videos, contacts, and texts from Android devices.
Google one made its debut in May 2018 as a service for paid Google Drive storage. It was first released in the United States followed by Canada and the United Kingdom.
Update: Google One will automatically backup media from now onwards
Google One went live in 2018, offering paid storage options ranging from 100GB to 30TB. Everyone starts out with 15GB of Drive storage for free but if you run out of storage you can upgrade to the plans according to your need. For people in the United Kingdom, prices start at £1.99/month for the 100GB plan and go up to £239.99/month for a massive 30TB one. In Canada, you’ll have to pay between $25.99/year and $419.99/month. If you sign up for any of the paid plans, you also get access to premium customer support and various other benefits like Google Play credits and discounts on various hotels. Most importantly, you can share your storage with up to 5 other Google accounts that each gets their own private section of storage to use.
