Twitteratis went crazy when two of Keanu Reeves’ movies were announced to hit the theaters together next year.
His fans followed suit and declared the date as #KeanuReevesDay which started trending on various social media channels.
It is a big day for his fans as the two movies scheduled for release on the 21st of May, 2021 are two of the most awaited movies of Reeves.
While one of them is John Wick: Chapter 4, the other one is Matrix 4. Both the movies are the 4th part of their respective hit action franchisees.

It is not normal for two movies of the same star clashing on a Friday morning. But, because the Box Office will be only about Keanu Reeves from the 3rd week of May, fans couldn’t control but planned to celebrate Keanu Reeves Day on 21st May.
But, despite the celebration, fans couldn’t stop but speculate the reason behind the decision. The idea seems unusually strange.
John Wick: Chapter 4 was already scheduled for the date when Warner Bros brought the twist in the tale and declared the release date of Matrix 4 that stirred everything.
It is hard to judge what made Warner Bros take the decision as both the movies are of the same genre, that is Action and garner the same target audience.
There is no doubt that Reeves is currently enjoying the highest point of his career so far and the two of his biggest movies clashing on the same date is good enough evidence to that.
But what is going to be truly interesting is to see whether the audience gets torn apart in the competition between the two movies or do people choose to binge-watch.
Though it is still possible for either Summit for John Wick: Chapter 4 or Warner Bros for Matrix 4 to change the dates for safety, the buzz around the release date has caused a lot of free publicity for the movies already.
