One of India’s leading telecom operators, Airtel, has launched two new streaming products in India. The Ambani family-led company known for its global business specializing in everything from technology to appeal is at it again with the all-new Airtel Xstream Box powered by Android TV OS. Launched earlier this week, here is everything you need to know about the newest addition to the Airtel family.
A wave of features
Rebranded to Airtel Xstream, the Airtel TV platform has added to its family two new streaming products in India: the Airtel Xstream Box and Airtel Xstream Stick. With specifications such as a 2GB RAM, 8GB storage, and a microSD card slot present to support up to 128GB, the Airtel Xstream Box can take care of all your needs by a tap of a button. The box also includes two USB 2.0 ports that can connect either to a USB thumb drive or an external HDD. In addition, it also comes with an HDMI 2.0 port, composite output, and an SPDIF port. For internet connectivity, the box supports both Wi-Fi as well as Ethernet.
Refreshing new technology
As the box runs on Android TV OS, more commonly known as Android 9 Pie, you get complete access to Google Play Store and over 6,000 compatible apps and games. The streaming box also supports OTT platforms such as Netflix, Amazon Prime Video, ZEE5, AltBalaji, Google Play Movies and more. The box is presently priced at purchase for Rs 3,999 but Airtel users can purchase it at Rs 2,249.
