Apple HomePod is finally gets some much-desired features: Major Details Inside

The radio streaming facility is on course for a launch on the 30th of September. The Ambient Sounds alongside a host of other new features are presently listed as being available later in Autumn.

At the moment even when the pre-launch assurances haven’t stopped coming out, by the fall Apple announced that it’s Home smart speaker will be gaining a few additional features including multi-user support, live radio, and a relaxing “ambient sounds” mode, according to an updated product page on the company’s website. Some of these additional facilities were talked about at Apple’s June services event.

The live radio facility is part of iOS13’s functionality and will be available at the end of the month with support for iHeartRadio, Radio.com, and TuneIn. Over 100,000 radio stations will be on display to users who ask Siri to play on a station.

Apple also revealed you’ll be able to transfer a call or song from your iPhone to your HomePod, and that the HomePod is enhanced enough to be capable of identifying a maximum of six different voices. These facilities will come by the time New Year arrives.

iOS 13 will be available on the iPhone from the 19th of September with watchOS 6 expected to be out on that day too. The latest iPadOS and iOS 13.1 will arrive on the same day as the radio streaming support but none of the other releases indicate when “later this fall” could be.

Usually, such releases are accompanied by the release of iOS 13.1. However, due to unknown reasons, these IOS related updates have been postponed this time around.
