Mikel Arteta was at the stand when Arsenal played against Everton on Saturday at Goodison Park. He is expected to follow up Unai Emery, permanently after being sacked by Gunners last month.

Arteta was at a dugout as Manchester City Assistant along with Pep Guardiola at the Kassam Stadium. He will soon be confirmed as the Gunners’ new head coach before the Merseyside’s weekend trip.

Freddie Ljungberg will be leading the game again after having taken charge of last five Arsenal games as an interim head coach. Arteta will be watching from the side as the two clubs he played for will play against each other.

Ljungberg is the head of the training of the team for the game against Everton and Arteta will take charge for the final time. The club has seen one win, two draws and two defeats under the supervision of Arteta.
