Billie Eilish has stated how Foo Fighters frontman Dave Grohl and Green des Billie Joe Armstrong continue to have some of their biggest high-profile fans in 2019.
The singer, who made his debut album All When We All Fall So, Who We Go? ’With Stratospheric fame, this year has been championed by both rock icons, with Groel already comparing Ilish’s relationship with Nirvana fans.
Speaking to the NME for this week’s Big Read, Illish stated: “I grew up on a lot of rock and trembled in that way, so that meant hearing a lot of recognition like [Grohl].”
It’s fun to meet people I don’t even know, but my parents are huge fans. When you know you’re going crazy. I like, “Why?”

In October, Eilish sat down for an interview with Armstrong, where the pair discussed the pressures of gaining fame.
Eilish said: “There was a period where I was like, even if I enjoy music too?” And I don’t mean the show.
The show is always my favourite part. But it was just travelling and on a cold bus to Europe, terrible food, and when you come back, like everyone else took off from you. This last tour I did was the first one I ever enjoyed.
“I think I have this amazing thing that I’m looking forward to now.” Elish will go back to the UK next year for a massive arena tour and European festival dates, including the new Mad Cool Festival.
She grew up in a creative home. His parents, Maggie Baird and Patrick O’Connell, both have careers in film and music, and Billy has spent his childhood and teenage homeschooling.
Earlier this year, she told NME that her creativity was likely in regular school: “If I went to public school, nobody would take me seriously and it scared me.”
