Producers of the movie “Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse”, Phil Lord and Christopher Miller, hare coming up with their next animation film; “Connected”.

The trailer of this movie has been released and it stars Danny McBride as Rick Mitchell. The story revolves around a father-daughter duo where the father is taking the daughter to college.

This trip is devoid of any technology interrupting their bonding time. This movie is a sweet guide for survival techniques for a family in the times of robot apocalypse. It is meant to teach us a few things about how to be connected in the real sense of the word and not through the digital world.

The story starts with Katie Mitchell (voiced by Abbie Jacobson) being accepted in a film college of her dreams and is excited to go and meet new friends at college. But she is rather miffed when her nature lover father Ricke(voiced by Danny Mcbride) decides that the whole family would take this trip to drop her to the college.

He wants to take this as a means to spend one last time as a family. The family is made complete by a mom Linda(voiced by Mike Rudolph) whose hopes are always running high, and a cute brother Aaron (voiced by Mike Rianda) and the family’s sweet pug Monchi.

They are met with uprising of all the technical appliances people love like phones to new-age personal robots, as they decide to take over the world. The Mitchells’ will have to forgo their problems in this war.

They are helped by 2 friendly but malfunctioning robots in their pursuit to save each other as well as the whole world from these technological monsters. The film is directed by Mike Rianda and co-directed by Jeff Rowe. It is coming to the theaters on September 18th.
