Let’s test your memory. Do you remember Doom Slayers Club? It’s a loyalty-based program Bethesda released a few months back to gift fans of Doom with free goodies.
It looks like registering for the club is finally being rewarded as Bethesda has revealed that Doom Eternal will be coming with classic skins for registered users of the program.
The only thing you will need to do is associate your Slayers Club account to the latest re-releases of Ultimate Doom, Doom II, and Doom 3 on PS4, Xbox One, or Switch.
We still haven’t figured out the thought process behind the skins. That kind of looks like the evergreen Marine from the initial id Software titles, but what do the colors suggest? The Doom guy has never worn anything other than green.
Also, he donned a totally different armor in Doom 3. This kinda brings back the memories of Quake III Arena, where the Doom guy had other color scheme called “Phobos.” The blue sort of resembled like “Crash,” when you look back at it.
However, I guess this is tidy for everyone involved and registered in the Slayers Club. The ones who play on PC will be unfortunate to have missed out on these skins. It would have been great to try these out but never mind.
Take a look at the all-new DOOM II Patch Notes:
-Better lighting hosted to match the original game visuals
-Renewed sound and music playback speed and background to match the original game audio
-General game setting and user interface improvements.
-Slayers Club members can from now connect their Bethesda.net account to gain access to the Bronze DOOM Marine Skin and DOOM II nameplate when DOOM Eternal comes out.
The game will be available on Xbox One, PS4, Nintendo Switch, and PC platforms.
