    Recently a Louisiana police officer was slain Friday while another was injured severely pursuing a vehicle chase in a New Orleans suburb, councils said.

    Authorities observed Mandeville Police Capt. Vincent “Vinny” Liberto Jr. as the official who perished from his injuries. Liberto had existed in the department since 1994 and attended to the Marine Corps for 10 years.

    He departs from a wife who is mourning, children who are suffering,” Sticker told about Liberto. “We have a medium that hasn’t lost an officer in over 50 years that is weeping. The whole law enforcement organization is grieving. After all, We’re a tight-knit community. This is indeed a terrible day for the Mandeville Police Department.”

    The Police Chief of the area, that is Mandeville, Gerald Stick. Announced at a news conference that the wounded officer, who’s being regaled at Lakeview Regional Medical Center, is anticipated to survive.

    The prior time a Mandeville police officer perished in the line of commitment was in 1958, the station documented.

    “The only stuff we can do right now is asking for the devotions of the community for the officer that is wounded and for the person that has expired,” Mandeville Mayor Donald Villere said.

    St. Tammany Parish Sheriff Randy Smith said two suspects are in supervision and that a javelin has been regained. The suspects’ names and the feasible charges they face weren’t directly disclosed.

    Sticker announced Louisiana State Police are in charge of the examination and would field concerns heeding what led to the shooting.

    Some eyewitnesses claimed the chase started soon before 2 p.m. subsequently at a traffic stop near State Routes 22 and 190. A suspicious man got out of the vehicle and allegedly shot at Liberto. The following officer arrived and was shot as well, WVUE-TV documented. It was ambiguous whether the officers withdrew fire.
