Saban Films has purchased the North American rights for “John Henry” and marked Terry Crews and Ludacris as the principal cast, as declared by the merchants on sixth August 2019. Saban Films’ Bill Bromiley said on Tuesday, “The story of John Henry is great and incredible for some.
Terry and Ludacris’ exhibitions are especially motivating, and we are enchanted to impart this contemporary advising to our spectators.”
The character of John Henry is a renowned figure from the African American legends and folklore.
The motion picture “John Henry” is a cutting edge adjustment of the African-American people legend and shows Henry (Crews), who leaves his wrongdoing filled past behind to begin an unquestionably increasingly tranquil one in Los Angeles.
There, he runs into two worker kids who are running from his previous pack pioneer and chooses to support them. Hence, his grieved past causes issue down the road for him while he attempts to give the two kids a superior future.

The emotional spine-chiller imprints Will Forbes’ directorial debut and is being delivered by Defiant Studios’ Eric B. Fleischman, Kodiak Pictures’ Maurice Fadida and Automatik’s Brian Kavanaugh-Jones. Terry Crews and Ludacris will be official makers alongside Matthew Antoun (iWood Studios) and Mark Strome (DJ Quik). Forbes and Doug Skinner are credited with the screenplay.
