On Saturday evening, the traffic on Mumbai streets got a little crazy; all thanks to global pop stars Katy Perry and Dua Lipa’s performance at a stadium in Navi Mumbai.
The event, which marks the debut performance of Dua Lipa in India and Katy Perry’s first in Mumbai, saw thousands of people — from across different age groups — gather for this musical treat.
The concert, which started around 3 pm, opened with interesting acts, which included Pune’s electronic artiste Ritviz, New Delhi’s The Local Train, and performances by music director and vocalist Amit Trivedi and post-rock band Aswekeepsearching.

She went on to belt some of her popular numbers like New Rules, One Kiss, Scared to be Lonely and her latest track, Dancing With Somebody. The model-turned-singer and her dance crew took over the stage and made everyone in the audience dance to her tunes.
Dressed in a beige-colored bikini top and matching flowy pants, Dua was energy personified, setting the perfect mood for the headlining act of the day — that of the multi-platinum artiste, Katy.

One of the highlights of the evening was when she got the audience to sing her popular track I Kissed A Girl along with her. And then she asked, “How many of you have traveled one, two or three hours for this concert? I traveled for 15 hours and it is totally worth it!”
