Brad Pitt’s latest film Ad Astra has been a tremendous display of his exceptional acting prowess. So when Laurie Crosswell, a famous name in cinema Twitter asked which performance of his deserves an Oscar, it drew a lot of interesting opinions and fans reactions.
Laurie said that she is so much grateful, he has an Oscar for producing. However, she felt one of his movies should have already won an acting Oscar. But which one is it?
One user replied that it should be either the Moneyball or Tree of Life if it’s pre-2019. He also stated that he expects him to bag one this time around.
One Brad Pitt fanatic expressed his opinion in quite freely by saying “Inglorious Basterds, Burn After Reading, Assassination of Jesse James, 12 Monkeys, Seven, and Fight Club…man has a phenomenal filmography”.
Famous presenter Felix De Bedout opined that Seven should have landed him the golden lady. However, he praised the actor for being underrated hugely as an actor because of his status as a ‘sex symbol’.
Many fans mentioned Legends of The Fall and a few even mentioned his recent role in Quentin Tarantino directorial ‘Once Upon a Time in Hollywood’.
However, Brad Pitt has made it strictly clear that he will not be Oscar campaigning for his roles in “Hollywood” or “Ad Astra”
“I find chasing is actually a disservice to the purity of your telling a story, and a shackling thing to focus on,” he claimed.
The actor is largely touted be part of the official submissions for Best Supporting Actor category for his role opposite Leonardo DiCaprio and many believe he can actually even win it. From the way Pitt speaks, it seems as if his Oscar campaigning will only involve his media appearances for his recent films.
