According to his friend Rebel Wilson, Anne Hathaway donated the entire cat outfit and makeup for a test video made for cat director Tom Hooper.

Wilson, 39, spoke with Playbill on Tuesday, stating that he hopes for makeup and prosthetic processing for the upcoming film adaptation of the Andrew Lloyd Webber musical were off-kilter, as the actors digitally released their feline counterparts.

The Sydney, Australia native, who portrays Genindotes in the upcoming film, said she initially believed she would need three to four hours of prosthetics regularly after casting in the movie.

Wilson said, “I saw the video of Anne Hathaway that she did for Tom.” ‘They did different tests before technology was developed to make fur, and it was a lot of prosthetics.

The 37-year-old Hathaway is not in the motion picture, although she worked with Hooper from the 2012 Les Miserables that won her an Academy Award. He starred in the summer comedy The Hustle alongside Wilson earlier this year.

Kat made her debut at New York City’s Alice Tale Hall on Monday, attended by stars such as Wilson, Taylor Swift, Jennifer Hudson, Idris Elba and James Corden.

Speaking on the red carpet with People, Wilson described his character Genindotes as ‘fun’, saying that he and Corden added comic relief to the motion picture.

‘Original Content T.S. Eliot Kavita, ‘she said,’ so it was quite challenging to get some modern humour in the film.’

Wilson told the publication that ‘all movements’ from the artists are real, as they learn how to walk and act in such a cat-human hybrid fashion.
