Carmine Marceno has always been seen as a perfect Republican and an ideal option for the next elected sheriff. He has always been a good person in everyone’s eyes with his skills of dealing with crime along with his strong bonds with celebrities. He has always promoted himself to be appointed as the new sheriff for Lee County.
Sean Hannity had time and again mentioned Marceno on his Fox news show and had well appreciated him. He even received a gold star badge on the recommendation by Carmine Marceno.
However, as the election time approaches, there are multiple allegations coming to Carmine Marceno.
One such allegation is that Carmine Marceno did not qualify all the eligibility requirements for being a police officer in Florida. Actually, this dates back to the late 90s when he shifted to Florida from Long Island.
As the rule suggests that a person can skip the training if he has worked for a year in law enforcement but full time. However, this stays unclear. Reports are that he only worked part-time. In this case, all the arrests made by him will become invalid.
Some speculations also arise about the strange and out of the blue payment of $24 thousand to a close political friend of his.
A woman has also come forward and alleged that she was a victim of Marceno’s abuse of power. She claims that Carmine had asked her to do an abortion to escape the situation.
One of the previous sheriffs of the County, Rodney Shoap went to the authorities to file complaints against him. He said that if the ineligibility of Marceno is revealed then it would lead to a lot of chaos.
Though, all of these allegations were denied by Carmine Marceno. He did not come out himself but released a statement to his spokeswoman saying that they respectfully deny all the allegations made.
