Sky Kids is an OTT platform targeted only for kids below 12 years of age. The app boasts of 11 channels and over 5000 episodes for the families looking for a safe entertainment channel for their kids.
The app along with content made for the young also includes art tools and games. It makes the Sky Kids a complete entertainment package for kids.
What makes it a favorite amongst the parents is the parental controls that let them control screen time so that kids do not overuse the app and disturb their sleep cycle.
Parents can also use the safe mode which locks certain areas of the app with Pin Protection, to keep the kids away from certain shows.
Following the success of Play Your Pets Right at the Bafta, Moominvalley, and Morph, Sky Kids announced its acquisition of a hit series from Dreamworks Animation named Where’s Wally? Along with it, the app announced to have commissioned new shows for Sky Kids Originals like Bad Nature, Not The End Of The World, Streetcat Bob and Pirates Love Underpants.
Clearly indicating its determination to ramp up to a new level of media programming for kids.
Where’s Wally
Acquired from NBC Universal Kids & Family Distribution, Where’s Wally is a story of Wally and Wenda. The two are members of the Worldwide Wanderer Society. It is an organization of curious travelers who wander around the globe and solve various mysteries through observation.
The series has a total of 40 episodes, 20 in Season 1 and 20 in Season 2. Wally and Wenda also have a mentor named Wizard Whitebeard, who sends them on adventure travel missions so that they earn their stipend and also experience needed to become wizard level wanderers one day. Oh, there’s a rival too in the story. It’s Odlulu.
