‘Basketball Wives’ season 8 has been filled with immense drama, but one cast member has refrained from the whole fiasco: Tami Roman. The season was shot months ago and is at the moment wrapping up with actors from the show already revealing behind the scenes action from the reunion. Scenes starring Roman in the entire show have been hardly any, but no one expected her to be absent from the reunion.
Roman always maintained a distance from the cast, mainly due to Evelyn Lozada. The two had a long argument last season where Roman alleged Lozada of speaking unwarranted rubbish about Lozada’s ex-husband and downplaying her role in the fight that resulted in their divorce.
This season, Roman’s scenes mainly focused on her family, that also revealed a secret marriage with her longterm beau Reggie Youngblood and centered on her budding acting career.
Fans have always wanted a lot more, but Roman always insisted she was done with having a tussle with her co-stars. She reaffirmed her point when she did not attend the reunion.
Roman’s time on Basketball Wives has been full of hiccups. From the time she joined in 2010, her costars were not very welcoming. She’s had a long-standing feud with Lozada since Lozada told that she had a fling with Roma’s husband in Season 2; and, she’s been in various physical altercations with other castmates.
After years of fighting it out with Lozada, Roman reaffirmed firmly this season on not shooting with her and made it clear that she would no longer take part in the drama. In a conversation with Entertainment Tonight, she dwelled on why she decided to keep her distance:
“I usually don’t talk about Evelyn in any of my interviews, but I’m doing this because you asked,” she said. “We didn’t say anything before taping, we generally don’t speak after, and I think both of us just give ourselves a much-needed service of me not entering her space and her not entering into mine. Just keep respecting our divisions.”
