    One of the multiple installments in The Dark Pictures Anthology, Man of Medan is the latest horror game to come from Supermassive Games. Generated by the makers of Until Dawn, Man of Medan has made its debut on the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Windows PC recently on August 30. Set in the World War II-era the horror game is set aboard a derelict freighter and its entire object is to make all five characters within the come back alive. Here’s everything you need to know about the newest addition to the gaming world. 

    A haunting story 

    The game starts with a narrator, who goes by the name the Curator, as he strolls you down a hallway of pictures. These pictures hold of significance as you play the game as they offer little premonitions of what will come next in the story that the narrator is telling you. Use these pictures to make your decisions that will essentially determine life or death.

    Many modes to match yours 

    Plugged with a day and night mode, The Dark Pictures Anthology: The Man of Medan comes with new modes that overall, make the game a lot more social and live up to the legacy of innovation at Supermassive Games. As it is not easy to keep the five characters you are required to take care of, the gamer at hand much face many more branching paths in order to avoid the confrontation of any of their deaths. Strikingly enough, these five characters can die in almost sixty-nine different ways. Frankly, you’ll need more than just good luck to successfully come out of this adventure. 

    Rather a myth

    In a recent interview, Pete Samuels, CEO of Supermassive Games, had mentioned that The Dark Pictures Anthology, Man of Medan is in fact based on a truly haunting story about a ghost ship called the SS Ourang Medan. Just as the game pictures, it displays the surroundings of a derelict ship floating in the South Pacific with a dead crew that you must keep alive.
