John Legend, one of the coaches of this show had a lot to say about Mike Jerel’s performance. He felt that Mike nailed the song with his high level of confident singing. It seemed Mike had a plan, with every note he touched, he knew exactly where he wanted to go with the whole thing.

Kelly Clarkson felt that the whole room was lit up with this performance. Mike Jerel is a 31 years old singer from Ashburn, Georgia who sings while playing the piano by himself. He seems to be in the singing line for a long time and has also done covers for many songs.

Mike told the judges that he grew up singing and playing with his grandmother in the nursery and that he used to also play in churches. John Legend said that this could be seen in his singing and playing.

Though Coach Blake remarked that he felt it was a girl singing before he turned around and was shocked to see a male performing. But none of the other judges corroborated with him on this. Viewers would be able to see this performance when it airs on Monday, 9th March 2020.
