In honor of women’s history month, March, Fashion Nova, a leading fast-fashion brand, launched the Women on Top initiative, in conjunction with a recording artist and cultural icon, Megan Thee Stallion.
This philanthropic initiative ran through March 31 under the Fashion Nova Cares program, focused on empowering women-owned businesses, charities, organizations, and education. The initiative donated $1,000,000 in terms of grants, scholarships, and donations to different winners. Each selected recipient received $25,000 or more from the huge chunk of donations.
In support of the $1 million donations, Richard Saghian, the founder and CEO of Fashion Nova, said, “We believe the world will be a better place when all women are provided the opportunity to maximize their potential. This program was created to give women a greater advantage as they pursue their passions.”
Megan Thee Stallion also added, “These donations are life-changing and will help women of all ages get one step closer to making their dreams a reality.”
Based on Saghian’s and Megan’s statements, the scholarships and grants were aimed at empowering women by providing them an opportunity to maximize their potential and helping them achieve their goals.
Empowering women has always been a part of Fashion Nova’s mission, as evidenced through a statement made by its CEO, “At Fashion Nova, women empowerment and ongoing advocacy for diversity and inclusion have always been part of our guiding principles.”
