Your Nest Protect does not maintain a constant Wi-Fi connection. After each step, you’ll need to manually test your Nest Protect’s Wi-Fi connection.
Press the Nest button on Protect and release. If it is disconnected, it might say that the “Nest Protect is disconnected from the internet.”
Press and hold the button until you hear your Nest Protect says Checking the network. Then release the button.
Your Nest Protect will glow blue in color while it tests its network connection. It will finish after a few moments.
