This is the second meeting between Daniel Evans and Vasek Pospisil. The Canadian Pospisil won their only meeting at the 2017 Davis Cup.
Daniel Evans was ranked outside the top 500 in the world and has done well to be ranked within the top 50 now.
He was a finalist at the Delray Beach Open earlier this year. Evans has had starts at other tournaments but will now want to capitalize and have some deeper runs.
Once ranked in the top 25 in the world, Pospisil’s career is on the comeback trail, having met with injuries in the interim.
