The Hulu biopic series make RZA learn that you are listening to the beats but you are not listening to the whispers out in the streets. As they are guided by the young vision of RZA, the Wu-Tang clan unites to change the whole form of hip hop music which has been observed in the first trailer of Wu-Tang: An American Saga. It is a biopic that has been written and co-created by RZA. The screenwriter is Alex Tse and the film will premier on 4th September 2019 on Hulu.
The clip has been anchored with the slogan, “Born in Shaolin, Made in America,”. It opens and shows RZA creating his creative aesthetic: which involves a gaze at the Kung Fu film and expecting his chops at the turntables.
One of the characters then instructs him that if he wants to make it in this world, then he should put in the work. Later on, he is told that he is only listening to beats and he is not listening to the whispers that are out in the streets.
Some other members that form the rap crew include Raekwon, GZA, Ghostface Killah, Method Man, Ol’ Dirty Bastard and Inspectah Deck, U-God, Masta Killa, and Cappadonna.
The last three are not shown in the trailer but they are going to appear in the series. This ten-episode series is based on former books named The Wu-Tang Manual and Tao of Wu. The series will be following the group’s formation which started on Staten Islands during the nineties.
RZA told in a statement upon announcing the show that he is extremely delighted to be in partnership with Hulu and Imagine and is really excited to explore the vast story of the Wuniverse. It is followed by the recent four-part docuseries Of Mics and Men.
