Xbox redesigned New Settings experience for Insiders

Today, Microsoft is releasing new Xbox corporate executive Preview builds for the Preview Alpha ring and also the skip ahead set of the Preview Alpha ring, and there is really a new feature. In the new builds, there is a simplified settings experience.

Microsoft did not come in detail to mention what is modified, other than providing a screenshot. It is solely aforesaid that it’s meant to be easier to navigate and manage which the classes and subcategories are simplified.

Note that the 2 rings area unit on two completely different feature updates. If you are on the Preview Alpha ring, you’re on version 1911, which is the minor feature update that should arrive next month.

If you’re on Skip Ahead, you’re in 2004, also known as 20H1, and that’s the feature update that will arrive next spring. The build numbers area unit 18363.8099 and 19006 for Alpha and Skip Ahead, respectively.

Because the redesigned settings experience is in both, it does seem likely that it will arrive at non-Insiders with next month’s feature update.

Microsoft did not say something regarding it being AN experimental modification like it has been doing with the redesigned dashboard.

With today’s update, we’re experimenting with a streamlined user interface.

Starting this week, this update will roll out to our Alpha Skip Ahead ring and will fully roll out to all users this fall.

As part of these changes, this update will temporarily disable dictation for the virtual keyboard on Xbox One. Don’t worry though, our team is working to provide an alternative solution and will have more details to share soon.
