The thrilling fantasy RPG Divinity: Original Sin 2 – Definitive Edition will now be available on Nintendo Switch from today, complete with the cross-save facility with the Steam version. This enables players to download their existing Steam save files and allows them to continue playing on Switch, and vice versa.
The Switch version was a major surprise announcement during today’s Nintendo Direct. In fact, it has to be the biggest surprise announcement from any edition of Nintendo Direct. It got the fans buzzing with many letting the world know about how excited they are on social media.
Divinity: Original Sin 2 lets players loose in a typical fantasy realm. It’s a gargantuan open world, letting players party up, craft items, design tactics in battle, and maybe even take on competitive multiplayer modes as they wish. Complete access to all of this will cost $50 on the Switch.
The debut edition of Divinity: Original Sin 2 hit Kickstarter in 2015 and easily crossed its $500,000 goal. The finished game released on PC in early 2017 and reached all consoles a year later.
The Switch version is releasing alongside the game’s second Gift Bag DLC, a big helping of free content for all platforms. This round will name Sound of Nature, and it comes with new crafting recipes, game mechanics and abilities.
Divinity: Original Sin 2 – Definitive Edition on Switch will close you £44.99 and needs up 10.5 GB of space to start.
