While Roselyn Keo is relishing her time in the limelight from ‘Hustlers’, Karina Pascucci and Marsi Rosen are seeking to evade it, and Samantha Barbash is attempting to discredit the film.

The four women were charged for luring men into strip clubs, drugging them and maxing out their credit cards. The movie is based on the scam, which Keo revealed to Jessica Pressler in an article for New York Magazine.

Keo, whose persona is named Destiny in the movie, was requested to a special screening of ‘Hustlers’ in New York where she met the ‘Hustlers’ cast, including Constance Wu, who has played Destiny, and Jennifer Lopez, who has played Ramona Vega, the character based on Barbash’ character.

The film is mainly based on the true story Keo told Pressler, although some things were modified for drama, or to create more sympathy for the main characters.

Barbash is contemplating a lawsuit against the film producers and J Lo, saying they adopted her story without her consent. She is also penning a book so that she can tell her story in her way.

All four women had faced grave charges but narrowly avoided serious jail time.
Keo, who goes by Rosie, was raised by aging grandparents along with her brother after her parents disowned them and shifted to Atlantic City. They were Cambodian refugees who got hooked up in material things when they sought a better life in America.

Marsi Rosen has been subsisting a private life out of the public eye since she was discharged from weekend jail stints. While Barbash and Keo evaded time in jail, Rosen and Pascucci were knocked harder.

Pascucci flip-flopped her story in conversations with Crime Watch Daily, initially saying she took full responsibility for her actions and then saying she did not consider that she committed a crime.
