Top Boy fans who have waited for six long years will not have to anymore. The crime drama by Ronan Bennett will be launching to screens next week on Netflix. The streaming application, Netflix got back the show in 2017 followed by interest from Drake. He will act as an executive producer for the upcoming season.
Just to hype up the anticipation for the upcoming episodes. Netflix has also released the images of the new Top Boy series to give the glances to the awaiting fans regarding what is going to arrive.
This new season of Top Boy will include Ashley Walters as Dushane and Kano as Sully. Their roles are being repeated from the first season and those who are going to join the cast in this new season are Dave and Lil Simz.
This new series will hold ten episodes and will also welcome Shone Romulus as Dris and Black Mirror star Ashley Thomas as Jermaine. Channel 4 dropped the show in 2013 which leaves Netflix the only place to catch the series.
The new season holds more tense drama. In these series, the 2 seasoned drug dealers have returned to the gritty streets of London while their pursuit of money and power is being threatened by a young and ruthless hustler. The members of Top Boy thought of converting the series into a musical but dropped the plan immediately.
The series is coming out on Friday, 13th September 2019. Anyone who wants to back up on the previous season of Top Boy can head to Netflix and find it under the heading Top Boy: Summerhouse. Its fans can now enjoy the wait and realize that it was worth it. It is an interesting series and with the success of the second series, there will be hopes for the third season.
