This week in Red Dead Online, Rockstar announced a new Legendary Bounty to take down, along with new emotes and RDO$ gifts.
Before this update, Red Dead Online did feel empty. While previous updates added new missions or PvP modes, it never felt like enough to keep users coming back each week. Eventually, It got bored with doing the same few things with little direction or progression.
Things are different now. After this latest update, players can hunt down bounties, go loot some treasure or even become a professional trader.
Doing these things could earn players new rewards and other goodies as part of a system Rockstar is calling Frontier Pursuits.
Currently, players can become bounty hunters, treasure hunters or traders. They can also be all three at once, which is a bit confusing.
To become a bounty hunter, for example, you head to a bounty board, which triggers a small cutscene where your character is introduced to a bounty hunter and then is asked if they want to become a bounty hunter themselves.
Say yes, and you are able to grab bounty posters around the world and track down computer-controlled criminals to bring in alive or dead.
The other two Frontier Pursuits work in a similar fashion: You go to a location, watch a small cutscene and then you are asked if you want to help track down the rare items or sell the animal parts.
New Legendary Bounty:
Etta Doyle is a train and stagecoach robber and can be hunted down by any licensed Bounty Hunters by visiting a nearby Bounty Board – but she is wanted ALIVE. Any PC players who connect their Social Club accounts to Twitch Prime will automatically receive a free Bounty Hunter License after logging into Red Dead Online for the PC launch.
