Riverdale Season 5 to be released soon: Air Date, Cast ,Plot and more Details

Riverdale is crazy, and it’s a big reason why fans love it so much.

Drawing on the anniversary Archie comics, the CW’s glittering again throws Jughead and the gang into a noisy world where young people run secret casinos and bears fight because why the hell not?

At one point, showrunner Roberto Aguirre-Cicasa even considered turning the show into a zombie apocalypse. Although we doubt this will ever happen, the show never seems to die.

With the Arrowverse line-up, Riverdale has come to define Archie as one of its main shows, not least because of his apparent allergy to Archie Andrews and shirts.

For this reason and the fandom that surrounds this small town, we believe Riverdale will revive at least one season, so here’s what you need to know about season five.

Incoming hits the CW’s decision to give us another dose of Riverdale’s insanity, Archie and the gang are expected to return in October 2020 following the pattern set by previous seasons.

Until nothing changes, UK viewers will be able to catch Riverdale Season Five on Netflix every week, which comes one day after the US release date.

In general, we would argue that the core cast definitely returns each season, although Riverdale has a higher body count than your typical small town.

However, at the end of season three, Flash-forward Jughead (Cole Spruce) has indicated that he may be out of the show soon, and the mystery surrounding this plot thread will not be resolved until the end of season four.

At the very least, KJ Apa, Lily Reinhart, and Camilla Mendes hope to see fellow students like Archie Andrews, Betty Cooper, and Veronica Lodge as well as Kevin Keller (Casey Katz), Cheryl Blossom (Madeline Petsch) and Reggie Mantle… Is (Charles Melton).

The main cast we may not see in the fifth season is Ashley Murray, as her character Josie McCoy may have gone when she appeared in the spin-off Katy Keen, set in New York City.
