Nintendo released Link’s next adventure in the much-needed series to The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild when it substantiated the game was under improvement in E3 2019 in June. Fans have only got slight hints about BotW 2 ever since then.
But a contended leak might have just indicated its launch date, official title, and key gameplay characteristics.
4chan user Xhyllalleged to be in contact with an anonymous former Nintendo worker with insider knowledge of the company’s coming plans.

They said BotW 2’s launch will be pegged to the blastoff of the rumored Switch 2, which Xhyll tells will be solely for home gaming and will benefit 4K resolution.
The rumored console will give rise to major modifications to computing and graphics, which will be shown through BotW 2.
Shell contends their source has seen a 10-minute game demo of the upcoming ownership, revealing important details regarding the shadowy follow-up to one of the Switch’s most famous games.
The leaker contends BotW 2 will be a blastoff title for the Switch 2 in January 2021. A release with a high-end Switch would reflect the release of the actual game, which debuted with the hybrid console on March 3, 2017. Nintendo could recite this strategy to increase sales of this advanced console given the odd post-holiday time.
The clear world game would be an outstanding way to demonstrate the strength of Switch 2. BotW suffered from periodic frame drops and graphical hiccups as its expansive world was occasionally too much for the real Switch’s barebones specs.
A modern console means Nintendo could make BotW 2 larger and more immersive than before.

Nintendo has yet to even assure what the official title for BotW 2 will be, but Xhyllcontends it will be something with the lines of “Zelda Breath of the Darkness.”
That squeaks a bit awkward and could be only a placeholder, though even a little tweak, like The Legend of Zelda: Breath of Darkness, has aa nicer ring to it.
