It seems Batman: Arkham Origins developer WB Games Montreal is knocking its new game. The studio tweeted today, September 22, for the prime time in more than four years, with what seems to be a cryptic teaser for a modern project.

The tweet commemorates the 80th anniversary of Batman’s first comic book appearance back in 1939 with aa tape that shows the Bat-Signal launched onto a building. But there is extra to it. The video also includes flashes, at 03 and: 21, of mysterious characters that you can see.

People are inferring that at least one of the symbols is in citation to the secret society, the Court of Owls, that prevails in the Batman universe. Interestingly, a WB Games Montreal developer posted in November 2018 an image of a developer wearing a t-shirt with owl picture on it. The tweet seems to be in quotation to an upcoming, unannounced program.

In 2016, Kotaku documented that WB Games Montreal discontinued a Suicide Squad game and changed focus to a new Batman game showing Damian Wayne.

This could be the current title that WB Games Montreal is teasing, as Damian Wayne was starred in the 2012 comic “Night of Owls” that concentrates on Batman’s battle against the Court of Owls. Nothing is corroborated, however.

In 2018, WB Games Montreal senior designer who is Osama Dorias stated on the Humans of Gaming podcast that the office was working on many projects related to the DC universe. One of these games is an important console game, open world, DC universe as said by Dorias.

Meanwhile, Batman: Arkham Knight studio Rocksteady is also operating on a new project, though it has not been declared.

People are inferring that a forthcoming Batman game disclose could occur at the PlayStation State of Play event this week, though nothing at all has entrusted any credence to this.
